According to Indian media, prices are touching the sky as onion demand increases in India and to meet the demand of onions, the Indian government has decided to buy 2,000 tons of onions from around the world.
The tender was issued by the MMTC, a company authorized for Indian imports. It was said that onions should be born in good quality and in any country, including Pakistan, China, and Afghanistan. However, now the MMTC has come under pressure from Indian extremists and peasants to review the tender and remove the Pakistani onion from the list.
According to Indian media reports, foreign companies, usually trading at the international level, buy Pakistani onions and sell them to India. However, this will not happen now. The tender companies will have to supply onion in December this year.
It should be remembered that after ending the special status of occupied Kashmir, Pakistan has terminated trade relations with India and restricted diplomatic relations. After which the Indian diplomat was ordered to leave Pakistan.
