Speaking on a private TV channel program, PML-N leader Muhammad Zubair said, “We are ready for arrests.” He said that he did not know how many arrests the government would have to make, adding that 1.5 million arrests would have to be made in Multan. As far as Lahore is concerned, the government will have to arrest several lakh people.
On the one hand, let me clarify that the PML-N leadership and workers are ready for arrest. We are not afraid of being arrested. We have also worked out a plan of action to decide, which leads to arrest. If Rana Sanaullah is captured, how will there be a protest, and if Maryam Nawaz is charged, how will there be a protest.
He said that we are ready for arrests. PML-N does not want Maryam Nawaz to be arrested, but nothing can be said about the government’s blunders. We want Maryam Nawaz to represent the procession and the rally. “Before, we had never had such a good plan,” he said.
“At the moment, our position is clear that we have to overthrow the government,” he said. We will continue this struggle from the platform of PDM, which consists of eleven parties. Apart from the Pakistan People’s Party and the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F), there are many other well-known parties. The government does not have the capacity it once had.
