A Lady passenger spread panic on a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight when she accidentally opened the emergency exit door thinking that was the toilet cause of which all the passengers were offloaded as on Saturday.
Luckily, it did not cost much loss as the incident happened on the ground while the plane was on its runway track at Manchester airport causing the flight a seven-hour delay.
The reports say that the Islamabad-bound PK-702 flight contained about 40 passengers along their baggage was about to take off who were offloaded as the emergency chute of the aircraft was activated due to the incident.
While inquiring the woman about the pressing of the emergency button she told that she mistakenly pressed it for the toilet.
Mashood Tajwar a PIA’s spokesperson said, “The plane was parked on the runway when the airbag chute opened, so there was no threat of any kind.”
Further, an inquiry had been ordered into the incident by PIA Chief Executive Air Marshal.
