PAKISTAN WHEELCHAIR TEAM EARNED A VICTORY IN THE T20 ASIA CUP FINAL AGAINST INDIA
The Wheelchair cricket team of Pakistan has succeeded in the Wheelchair T20 Asia Cup final after beating its chief-rival India on Saturday making the nation proud.
This event was held in Nepal that included four teams Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Nepal in the complete tournament.
The final was played at the TU stadium of Kathmandu. For which Pakistan had advanced by making a victory in the last group game against the hosts (Nepal).
While on the other hand, while India remained unbeaten round with six points in the league while Pakistan stood second with four points.
India made three wins in three games. It defeated Bangladesh by 30 runs in the last match. Hence, the two arch-rivals teams were brought to be clashed in the final and eliminating Nepal and Bangladesh from the group stage. Bangladesh earned a win (over Nepal), but Nepal lost all three matches.
In the final, India had batted first by setting up a target of 212 runs with the loss of 2 wickets in 20 overs for the National Team which was luckily hunted down by the heroes of Pakistan by saving five wickets in hand.
Muhammad Latif the opener of Pakistan had given a marvelous performance and earned over the century score for his team. His brilliant score of 152 on 62 balls brought the team to the winning line and he was awarded the title as the Man of the Match for making the innings remarkable with his outstanding performance.
Latif while talking to the media expressed his joy by passing the remarks that he was feeling a great pleasure for the unbeaten century against India.
