Darrell Brooks Is Back In Court

Darrell Brooks Is Back In Court | WILMINGTON, WI — On Thursday, a last pre-trial hearing for a number of accusations against Darrell Brooks in Milwaukee will take place in the Milwaukee County Courthouse. This is only one day after Waukesha’s sentencing process is complete.

In relation to the Waukesha Christmas Parade disaster, Brooks was found guilty on Wednesday and given a life sentence without the chance of parole.

He was given six life sentences in jail by Judge Jennifer Dorow, one for each person he murdered. He was also charged with 61 charges of deliberately endangering safety, each carrying a sentence of 17.5 years in jail.

Brooks’ Case

Although Brooks’ case in Waukesha County is over, his time in a courtroom is still ongoing. Brooks has three active cases in Milwaukee County, and today is the final pre-trial hearing for each of them.

He is accused of two counts of second-degree willfully endangering safety and of having a handgun in his possession while a felon in prison in one of the ongoing cases, which relates to an event that happened in 2020.

In the second instance, Brooks is charged with running a lady over with his automobile in an event that happened in November 2021. Three weeks after that event, he drove his SUV into the Waukesha parade while on a $1,000 bail.

In this instance, Brooks is accused of felony bail jumping, disorderly behaviour, 2nd-degree recklessly endangering safety, and refusing or obstructing an officer.

The last pre-trial hearing for Brooks will concern a third incident that took place on December 6, 2021. In breach of his release arrangement, Brooks allegedly made contact with the female victim.

According to the lawsuit, they talked about law enforcement’s request for her permission to provide access to her medical records.

In the days that followed, Brooks made several further calls to the woman in addition to his mother.

In a meeting with detectives from the district attorney’s office. The lady acknowledged that Brooks had contacted her, declared his love for her.

She also admitted to them that Brooks had made her fearful of him by endangering her safety and security. She said that Brooks knows Milwaukee residents who would pose a threat to her safety.
