The judges of “Dancing with the Stars” could have intervened on “Prom Night” to save country singer Jesse James Decker. No, she did not finish in the bottom two and depend on the judges’ votes to advance.

Instead, during the dance marathon, they declared her prom queen. She was able to avoid falling into the bottom two completely thanks to her 11 extra points for that marathon, her dance scores, and the votes of the home audience. Based on the aggregate predictions of “DWTS” fans who have placed their bets here in our predictions area, Decker now tops our elimination predictions with 11/5 odds. Vinny Guadagnino, a former cast member of “Jersey Shore,” comes in second with 11/4 odds, while actor Trevor Donovan follows with 4/1 odds.

The first few weeks of the competition made it quite simple to guess who would be eliminated because the first three celebrities who were in the bottom two but were spared by the judges were gone the following week (Teresa Giudice, then Cheryl Ladd, then Sam Champion).

On “Prom Night,” however, everything changed. On “Disney+ Night,” Donovan and Champion had placed last, but on “Prom Night,” he was completely safe. Instead, the two celebrities in peril were Heidi D’Amelio and Joseph Baena, who had just joined the bottom two.

D’Amelio was spared by the judges despite receiving such high scores that it was surprising she ever placed in the bottom two. This proves that none of the top 10 celebrities will be safe based solely on the judges’ ratings. Fan bases are now significantly influencing music.
