A statement issued by the State Bank states that the State Bank has all records regarding the exchange of Rs 500 notes in 2012.
 
The central bank statement stated that the audit team visited Karachi office and the team imagined that all the old records were in the Karachi office while some records of bad, bad and change were also in the regional offices. According to the statement, the State Bank has 16 field offices across the country. There is also a record of bad, damaged and changed notes.
