ONLINE FITNESS TEST FOR U-19 WOMEN ATHLETES BEGINS!
Online fitness tests for under-19 women athletes have started. According to a statement issued by the PCB, the purpose of online fitness testing is to keep the attention of under-19 women cricketers focused on the game due to the suspension of cricket activities due to the coronavirus epidemic.
The online fitness test will run from June 22 to 26, during which athletes’ hand-eye coordination, physical balance, and muscle strength will be assessed.
The board says the investment in improving the performance of emerging female players is the result of the PCB’s strategy.
According to the strategy, the board wants to expand the pool of women cricketers as well as provide a clear path for under-19 cricketers to make a place in top-level cricket.
Players who excelled in the Skills to Shine Under-18 Women’s T20 Championship, which was played in November last year, have been included in online testing.
