HORROR photos depict a horrific incident on Interstate 30 in Arkansas involving many 18-wheelers, with at least one person killed and multiple injuries reported.

The accident happened on I-30 in Hot Spring County on Wednesday afternoon.

The accident happened around mile marker 85.5, according to authorities.

The Arkansas Department of Transportation stated that there were further injuries at the site, but did not disclose how many or how serious the injuries were.

I-30’s westbound lanes are currently blocked.

Residents were advised to stay away from the area by the Hot Spring County Department of Emergency Management.

While officials attend to the situation, traffic is being redirected via exit 91.

As a result of the horrific accident, dark billowing smoke can be seen for kilometres.

The disaster occurred near Friendship, Arkansas, a small hamlet with a population of around 200 people.
