The Punjab government has announced good news for agricultural graduates, the provincial government will start an internship program at a cost of Rs 20 crore. Chief Minister Usman Bazdar also approved the Florida culture promotion program in the province.
As per details, a decision has been taken in a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Usman Bazdar. The Punjab Government will launch an internship program for agricultural graduates. 130 agricultural graduates will be trained at a cost of Rs 20 crore. In addition to this, it has been decided to start a new program for promoting flower culture in Punjab. About Rs 40 crore will be spent on the program. The meeting also considered measures to save crops from locust attacks. CM orders 24-hour monitoring of Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan and Bahawalnagar areas. He also directed to continue effective surveillance on a daily basis to control the grasshopper.
Chief Minister Usman Bazdar says spray should be continued until complete removal of grasshopper. In the future, a comprehensive plan should be taken to protect the crops from grasshopper attacks. In this regard, the relevant bodies of the Federal Government should also be contacted.
