The Holly Hotel has caught fire. With a high of 98 degrees and a heat advisory in effect for Oakland County, the fire will be much more difficult to put out.

So yet, no injuries have been reported.
The historic site is most famous for being the site where Carrie Nation shattered liquor bottles during Prohibition. According to its website, the Holly Hotel has been present since the early 1900s and has been damaged by fire twice before, in 1913 and 1978. It’s on the National Register of Historic Places as well.

At the established location, presidents and governors have eaten.

Last week, flames broke out at the Somerset Collection and the Woodward Bar & Grill.
