Fajr prayer – Light & Guidance

“الصلاة خير من النوم”

(Prayer is better than sleeping!)

Islam has obliged upon every Muslim- men/women- to pray five times a day. And it is the second most important pillar of Islam. When it comes to worship, it is the prayer that makes a Muslim distinguish himself or herself from citizens of other faiths. Furthermore, prayers are a way of calling upon Allah Almighty and requesting His help.

It seems that waking up for work, let alone Fajr, is difficult in today’s fast-paced, complex, and techno-filled era. The thought of having to begin each day with the Fajr prayer, which is continually evolving, seems to be a little taxing. We want to be in charge as people because when we set the alarm for a job schedule in the morning, it should remain the same. Fajr, on the other hand, has a distinct situation.

In other words, we’re objectifying it in our minds and making it into a chore we’d instead stop. However, once you decide to see prayer as a spiritual practice, you will know that it has implications not just for the soul but also for our daily lives.

Blessings of Fajar Prayer

A few blessings of Fajar prayer are listed below:

Allah gives us guidance and encouragement by prayer.

Fajr – an Arabic word meaning “Dawn” – is derived from the same root word as Infijar. “Infijar” means “to flare” or “to burst out,” which refers to the sun’s light. Because it erupts in to the night and illuminates the earth, replacing darkness with illumination, vision, and visibility. The sun’s light sustains all life on the planet. It enables all things to rise and provides humanity with warmth, comfort, protection, and protection. Similarly, the Fajr prayer brings light and guidance to the human soul and spirit and courage and protection.

It is the Prophet Muhammad’s Sunnah (SAWS)

Prayer as a whole is one of Islam’s Five Pillars. It is so vital and beneficial that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) proclaimed that it is the regular observance of prayers that distinguishes belief from disbelief. Thus, it is an essential piece of our faith.

Fajr instills in us the value of time.

It shows you the value of time. As a result, we would make good use of it and plan our days accordingly. The prayers are said at certain times in the day to bless and ground you. We are on this planet to worship Allah SWT. That doesn’t rule out the possibility of living a happy life. It’s just about maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Fajr brings good energies into our lives as we start our day with it.

In Islam, the Fajr prayer ensures that we start the day with light and life. That indicates the intervention of God’s angels and spiritual energies. Early morning prayer and meditation set the tone and focus for the whole day. By starting the day off right, this spiritual activity will bless the entire day with Barakah and Noor, blessings, and light in prayer and meditation.

Prayer purifies the spirit.

The importance of prayer is repeatedly emphasized in the Quran, and it was also stressed by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH): “Know that prayer is paramount among your duties.” Don’t lose sight of what’s crucial in life. Prayer is one of the most beautiful gestures, as it cleanses the soul while still bringing peace and contentment.
