Director says that season two of Squid Game would leave fans wanting more.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, Hwang Dong-hyuk stated that the show’s second instalment is nothing but pandemonium.
“Those games are going to put humanity to the test once more,” he told Vanity Fair.
“I want to explore the issue, ‘Is real human solidarity possible?” he continued.
The inventor feels that if the participants were more supportive of one another, they could solve their difficulties.
“I agree that there was a chance that we might have seen more winners if they were capable of communicating to one another, of cooperating with one another,” he continued.
Meanwhile, Squid Game actor Lee Jung-jae told PEOPLE that the next season would be full of surprises.
“I’m hoping for a twist that will be thrilling and shocking for both me and the audience,” Lee remarked. “It wouldn’t be enjoyable if it was predictable.”
Netflix is expected to release the Squid Game series in 2023 or 2024.
