Pakistan Bulk Purchasing CH-4 Predator Drones
Protoday247 News Monitoring: Pakistan would deploy Chinese CH-4 drones, the Chinese equivalent of the American MQ-9 Reaper, along the Line of Control (LOC) to deter any intrusion from the eastern frontier. The study is full of warning bells in India as Pakistan imports CH-4 drones from China in bulk.
It adds that Pakistan has recently sent a 10-member team headed by Brigadier Zafar Iqbal to China to finalize the minor information and begin the Aerospace Long-March International Trade Company (ALIT) procurement phase. Brigadier Iqbal had previously visited China in December last year to oversee the CH-4 drone acceptance study in the plant.
Pakistan also purchased 48 Wing Loong-II drones from China in 2018 to improve its defense capability. There are two models of CH-4 drones; CH-4A and CH-4B. A CH-4 drone can hold 6 arms and has a payload capacity of 345 kg. Air-to – ground rockets may be launched from a height of 16,000 miles.
