Fasting is not the name of being hungry or thirsty
It is obvious that fasting is a difficult act of worship and fasting in summer in particular is very difficult for children. But we must tell our children that the real purpose of fasting is piety.
Fasting is obligatory in Islam, so I have instilled the habit of fasting in my children from the very beginning. But my eldest son gets very irritable in Ramadan. He fights and kills his siblings over small things and disobeys me and his father.
Tell me what I can do to help him get the right to fast. It is obvious that fasting is a difficult act of worship and fasting in summer in particular is very difficult for children. But we must tell our children that the real purpose of fasting is piety. Taqwa means doing things that please Allah Almighty. In fact, when children are small, we try to make them fast. But its philosophy does not state etiquette and basic requirements which do not instill patience in children. And they consider fasting to be hunger and thirst, even though our religion of Islam has clearly stated the purpose of fasting. In Quran Majeed.
“O you who believe! Fasting is prescribed for you, as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become righteous. Fearing Allah Almighty, living within His prescribed limits and giving up fighting, quarreling, stealing, adulteration, gossip and all kinds of evil deeds. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Whoever fasts with faith and accountability, all his first sins will be forgiven.
At one point, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Whoever gives up fighting and quarreling while fasting, Allah does not care about him being hungry or thirsty. It is narrated on the authority of Abu Hurayrah that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: Allah Almighty says that the goodness of every human being is increased ten times to seven hundred times Except for fasting, it is for me and I am the judge of it Because he gives up his lust and his food for me. There are double joys for the fasting person.
One happiness that he will get while breaking the fast and one happiness that he will get when he meets his Lord and Allah loves the mouth of the fasting person more than the fragrance of musk (perfume). Fasting is a shield. On the day when one of you is fasting, he should not speak obscenely or make noise. If he is abused or someone fights with him, he should say that he is fasting.
Similarly, according to the narration of Hazrat Abu Hurayrah, there is a blessed hadith that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Whoever does not stop lying and acting on it, then Allah Almighty does not need him to stop eating and drinking. We must tell our children that Ramadan is a month of training and Sabrushkar has the most training this month. If we put these things in their minds from the beginning and become a role model for them, it will definitely have an effect on the children. Because children ultimately do what they see their parents doing.
