The federal government has disbursed Rs149,879 billion to at least 12,384,243 impacted lockdowns under the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Programme. The federal government had started the plan to allocate Rs12,000 to those impacted by the shutdown of coronavirus. The payment process continued across the country under different categories of the program. A total of Rs67,156 billion has been disbursed to 5,547,709 deserving families in Punjab so far, according to the latest update obtained on July 6, while Rs44,902 billion has been disbursed to 3,723,230 families in Sindh.
Rs25,874 billion was allocated to 2,131,284 beneficiaries in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while over Rs7,604 billion was disbursed in Balochistan to 625,934 persons. Rs2.473 billion was distributed among 202.464 people in Azad Jammu and Kashmir while Rs1.081 billion was distributed to 88.429 people in Gilgit Baltistan. Of more than 65,193 beneficiaries in Islamabad, an amount of Rs 0.787 billion had been disbursed. It is pertinent to mention here that the existing Kafalat beneficiaries were paid an amount of Rs1.26 billion, among the total disbursement.
